Plant-Based Milk Processing Line

Plant-based milk is made from ingredients such as seeds, grains, nuts, or fruit-based materials, which naturally contain protein, fat, and fibre. Since plant-based drinks contain proteins, fats, and fibre, they can develop sediment or separate during processing and storage. Our plant-based milk processing lines use rapid heat treatment to deactivate enzymes such as lipoxygenase, which is especially in soy drinks, since this enzyme can contribute to unwanted "beany" flavors. Once the enzymes have been deactivated by heat treatment, the plant-based drink goes through filtration and homogenization. Filtration removes larger particles, while homogenization distributes the fat and remaining solids more evenly to reduce sediment and separation.
